DESCRIPTION
High performance 450cm (15.0ft) C/Ku-Band polar mount prime focus mesh satellite dish with extra-heavy-duty steel mount and designed specifically for maximum signal gain. This is our largest consumer antenna with the tightest beamwidth to ensure you receive 100% of North American TV broadcasts and 100% of Central and South American TV broadcasts. You will get everything, including any future 64 APSK and 128 APSK signals!!! It can be used as a stationary dish (includes two lockdown bars) or fully motorized with an actuator (not included) to track multiple satellites. The aesthetic appeal of this polar mount mesh dish and its large size make it perfect for rural areas where reliable C-Band reception is required.
This dish is primarily designed and recommended for consumer home satellite TV reception in North America, but others, such as TV and radio stations, amateur radio astronomers and universities will find it of use. The extremely large aperture size of this antenna makes it perfect for fringe reception of out-of-footprint satellite signals (e.g. 65°W, 70°W, 75°W and 114.9°W), radio astronomy surveying and moon bounce experiments. If you are an expat living in Central or South America, Bermuda, Hawaii, South Caribbean, Greenland or French Polynesia, then this is the dish size you need to receive American and Canadian TV programming.
Note: This is our latest model (2024) with heavy-duty mount, superior steel construction, rear panel brace support, larger arm, jumbo sized threaded rods, dual sided actuator plate, two lockdown bars and thicker gauge steel throughout for minimal slop. Field proven and reliable or your money back!
Note: Powered elevation is possible with a 12" or 18" heavy-duty actuator.
Note: Powered declination assembly, powered azimuth assembly and powered skew assembly are sold separately.
Note: Requires 5.5" O.D. mounting pole (in-ground, pyramid base or king post) which is sold separately.
Note: This is a massive antenna and will experience significant wind resistance. We highly recommend this product be installed by a TVRO professional who has experience with oversized antennas. We recommend you install it immediately behind a building to cut down on the wind resistance encountered. We also recommend re-enforcing the pole mast for structural integrity.
Note: This a very heavy dish. To avoid injury, DO NOT lift this dish by yourself. The mount itself weighs over 100 lbs and the fully assembled dish is in excess of 250 lbs. Ask someone to help you lift the mount on the pole.
Note: Well received by home satellite TV enthusiasts. You can find a review of our mesh antennas at Satellite Guys
